Eddie Dalton is an active teacher, clinician and player based in East Tennessee. As a teacher, his duties include Director of Bands at Colonial Heights Middle School and Percussion Instructor at Milligan College where his students are in constant demand for playing and teaching positions. He consults, writes and conducts clinics for Marching Percussion Ensembles and adjudicates Marching Band Festivals and Contests. Eddie is also in demand as a clinician for both Concert and Jazz based Honor Bands.
As a student Eddie attended East Tennessee State University under Dr. Rande Sanderbeck. (Degree: BMED, 1995) He has also studied with Joe Morello, Mike Clark, Chester Thompson, Ed Thigpen, Jim Chapin, and Zoro the Drummer.
As a player, Eddie currently performs with the Charles Goodwin Orchestra (Big Band and Small Group), Rick Simerly, Jimmy Fleenor and the Highland All-Stars as well as various Church and Civic Groups.
Eddie has also performed with such national and world renowned artists as Jerry Douglas, Kenny Chesney, Steve Lippia, Jon Faddis, Lee Greenwood, Ernie Watts, Louise Mandrel, Bill Perkins and the Blue Gurus, Sugar Hill Recording artists the Brother Boys, Tim and Mollie O’brien, The Four Aces, Mark Schatz, the Mills Brothers and former Tonight Show Pianist, Derek Smith just to name a few.
Along with performing, he also spends time in the studio playing Drum Set for various regional and national artists.
